 Pic courtesy www.dumkhum.com SULA WINES, NASHIK. Situated 180 km northeast of Mumbai, Nashik is India’s largest grape-growing region, but had traditionally never been used to grow wine grapes. The winery and vineyards are open to the public for educational tours, and the beautiful Tasting Room invites visitors to enjoy their favourite Sula wines amidst spectacular views of the vineyards and surrounding lakes and hills. Visitors can now spend a few nights in paradise at BEYOND, Sula’s new exclusive accommodation on the vineyards with a beautiful lake view.
Dates: 22nd & 23rd February 2014 (Saturday-Sunday).
Ride will start on 22nd February 2014 (Saturday) @ 06:30 AM in the morning and will end on 23rd February 2014 (Sunday). First reporting point is GOKUL, Hanuman Road, Near ICICI Bank/Gajalee Hotel, Vile Parle (East), Mumbai 400057.
Its a 02 days ride, with an overnight stay at Nashik. Total distance to be covered is approx. 400 Kms.
From the RC - Mahesh Madgavkar Dear Stallions, As you all are aware that we are riding to a most awaited and a natures blessed destination.... `Nashik - Sula Vineyards' on 22nd & 23rd Feb, I would be the RC & your host for welcoming you on this wonderfull ride
The total kms we would be covering would be around 185 kms (one way).
Here is the ride plan :
=> Stallions will assemble at Gokul (VileParle E) at 6.00 am Sharp.
=> Ride will start from Gokul at 6.45 am Sharp.
=> 1st Halt at Padgha Village for breakfast in Hotel Midway
Park, approx kms would be 85 kms & expected time to reach would be 8.45 am.
=> We would start our ride by around 10.30 am, we will not halt after that & directly reach Nashik Road (Nashik City), where we are going to stay (in my house).
Approx kms would be 100 from Hotel Midway & expected time to reach would be 12.45 to 1.00 pm.
=> Officially ride will get over at my place in Nashik Road.
After fresh n up we will have our lunch in Gangapur road which is on the way to Sula Vineyard.
Post lunch around 2.30pm we shall proceed to Sula Vineyard, which is around 15 kms from my residence & 10 kms from the Restaurant.
Winery Tour Details :
I have booked a Winery tour for our group which includes Factory visit & wine testing of 4 premium wines.
Costing for each person (including tasting) is Rs.150/-.Our group would be exclusively attended by the Sula team for this tour.
Post Tour details :
Once we are done with the tour & testing, there is an option
to purchase your choice of Wines from there outlet, There are
merchandise outlet
which also keeps Tshirts, Key chains, Wine glasses, Wine openers etc...
There is a small amphitheater & green lounge where we can have our group photos & rest for a while.
As a standard parctice & Rule book guidelines RS members donot drink n drive, hence mod's have decided to restrict our selves to do Wine Tasting & then push off to my Residence back by around 4.30pm.
Thoes who wish to have wines on there deck will have to decide at the
begining & arrange for a auto for visiting Vineyard & come back
to my residence on their own cost. All logistics regarding the same
would be done bt the indiviual itself. This is a clear instruction
that 'No one will ride to Sula if he wishes to have Wines in the
Vineyard'. I hope we all are responsible RS riders & we respect our
rules & instructions laid in our rule book hence there would not be
any arguement or discussions on this decision.
Residence details :
There are some riders who would be riding on Saturday evening or Sunday morning, they need to come directly to my residence.

We shall ride back to Mumbai on Sunday morning post Tea/coffee at around 11 am, should reach Mumbai by afternoon.
Important Instructions :
We are as of now 36 Riders & 5 Pillions confirmed for this ride.
Now I am sure you must be wondering how we would be accomodated in
my house, here are some of the details of my house & arrangements
done :
I have 3 bedrooms, 1 living room, 1 dinning area & 3 terraces.
Bedrooms would be alloted 1st for all female members, spouses &
childrens.
Living room would be allowed to senior citizens
We will try to fit in, but those left will be having a amazing sky view absolutley free !!!
All young & brave stallions will have sleep on the terrace,
please note that this terrace is not a common terrace but a private
terrace which has only access from my flat.
Dinner would be arranged from a local caterer who is famous for Chicken Biryani...
Those who are Veg need to inform me (via sms or Whatapp only) well in advance so that I need to inform this caterer accordingly.
This information should be sent to me latest by Sunday i.e.16th Feb.
Asthe no of stallions on this ride are more, please be kind to bring Sleeping bags, Mattresses/ Chatai, Pillows etc as per your convinence.
Nashik is cold during nights hence please be ready for facing a temp of 10 to 12 deg in the night.
Do's n Dont's :
a) No Drink n Drive
b) No Club horn when inside the complex
c) Parking instructions to be followed in the complex
d) As we want to have maximum fun on our terrace, please ensure
that we donot disturb other residence members with loud volume music
& discussions.
e) I have Puja room which is in the centre of the house, hence
request all Stallions to take care while drinking & eating non-veg
near this place.
f) If any member is bring their child, he / she needs to ensure
that the child doesnot lean from the terrace or donot climb the stair
case leading to the terraces.
g) Smokers on the terrrace only.
h) Carry all your spares / tube while riding
i) Know your vehicle, if any repairs needed please get it done prior to the ride.
j) Carry all necessary documents as guided in RTO rules.
k) Take care of your belongings & pillion riders.
l) Ride with full safety gears. |
